I define arrogance generally as
"expressing subjective, personal opinion to others in intimidating manners",
"putting down of others' personal opinion",
"trying to air superiority in your subjective, personal opinion in public",

"Personal subjective opinions" is emphasized.
Some subject matters are more clearly defined while others are generally grey, hence are more likely to subject to personal opinion of the subject matter at hand.

Subjects like
"What car should you drive",
"It is time you replace your car now"
are subjected to personal subjective opinions.

Hence, expressions like
"You should be driving a better car ! I make it a point to replace my car every 3 years"
are clearly arrogant remarks.

I have a colleague who talks like this.

Sometimes, it can be very irritating.

Maybe one day I should say to him
"It's people like you who degrade the entire human civilisation !".
